What's Happening at Dog City?

Foster dogs find homes with the help of Dog City.
Our commitment from the beginning has been to do business in a way that contributes positively and substantially to our community. As part of that commitment,
Dog City regularly fosters dogs for Every Creature Counts, a Colorado Animal Sanctuary. We've recently found homes for Princess and Betty Boo. Our new foster dog is Speedy, a Jack Russell cross. Click here to see a photo and learn more about him.

Every Creature Counts is a non-profit, no-kill sanctuary that rescues dogs who were going to be euthanized due to pet overpopulation. For more information on Every Creature Counts, please visit their web site at www.everycreaturecounts.org.

Ellie Storch to serve as general manager for Dog City.
Ellie Storch came to Boulder from Boston in 1998 and started working at Dog City in 2001. Because of her enthusiasm about the dog day care field and dedication to the dogs, she soon was promoted to office manager. We are now pleased to announce that she will be serving as general manager. Storch's calm, confident manner helps the dogs, their guardians, and the staff at Dog City feel safe and welcomed.

Beyond the Leash seminar brings together day care professionals.
Nana Will of A Dog's Eye View and Dog City's Deb Holvey just completed presentation of their seventh seminar about dog group behavior. Specifically designed to address the unique training needs of dog day care facilities, the seminar has hosted professionals from City Bark, Waggin’ Tails, Pampered Pets, Lucky Dog, Lark’s Pet Sitting, Bow Haus, Rover Retreat, The Dog & I, The Dog Spot, The Big Backyard, Hounds on the Hill, and Animal Lodge, as well as private dog care providers from Florida, Utah and Colorado.

Bethany Bonvillain retires; passes on her grooming practice to Lauren Kordupleski.
We are sad to say goodbye to Bethany Bonvillain, who has retired from her grooming practice. In preparation for her retirement, Bethany apprenticed Dog City's Lauren Kordupleski for seven months to take over her grooming practice. Bethany knew Lauren was ready when she finished grooming a dog, and all Bethany could say was, "I'm not touching that dog, it's perfect!"  Please come in to meet Lauren and help us welcome her to her new role with Dog City.
